Indication:  
Tylosin tartrate injection is used in veterinary medicine to treat various bacterial infections in animals, primarily cattle, swine, and poultry.
Cattle:
Respiratory Infections: Used to treat bovine respiratory disease complex (BRDC), including pneumonia and shipping fever, caused by bacteria like Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella multocida, and Mannheimia haemolytica.
Foot Rot: Effective in treating bovine infectious pododermatitis, commonly known as foot rot, which is caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Metritis: Used to treat acute metritis (uterine infection) in cows, typically caused by bacteria such as Trueperella pyogenes and Fusobacterium necrophorum.
Swine:
Swine Dysentery: Effective in treating and preventing swine dysentery (bloody scours) associated with Brachyspira hyodysenteriae.
Respiratory Infections: Used to treat pneumonia in pigs caused by Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae and Pasteurella multocida, which are common pathogens in swine respiratory disease.
Poultry:
Chronic Respiratory Disease (CRD): Used to treat CRD in chickens and turkeys caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum, which leads to respiratory distress, reduced growth rates, and egg production issues.
Infectious Sinusitis: Effective in treating infectious sinusitis in turkeys caused by Mycoplasma gallisepticum, characterized by swollen sinuses and respiratory problems.
Other Indications:
Secondary Infections: Tylosin tartrate injection is also used to control secondary bacterial infections that may occur in animals suffering from other primary diseases.
Dosage and administration:
For Cattle:
Dosage: 10 mg/kg body weight (1 ml per 30 kg body weight).
Administration: Intramuscular or intravenous injection. Administer once daily for 3 to 5 days.
For Swine:
Dosage: 10 mg/kg body weight (1 ml per 30 kg body weight).
Administration: Intramuscular injection. Administer once daily for 3 to 5 days.
For Poultry:
Dosage: 20 mg/kg body weight (equivalent to 0.25 ml per kg body weight).
Administration: Administer via drinking water for 3 days, ensuring the solution is the sole source of water during treatment.
Precautions:
1.Use with caution in animals with a history of hypersensitivity to macrolide antibiotics.
2.Intramuscular injections may cause localized reactions at the injection site. Ensure proper injection technique to minimize these reactions.
3.Follow the recommended dosage and administration route precisely.
4.Store tylosin tartrate injection in a cool, dry place away from light and out of reach of children and animals.
